Position Objective:
Responsible for providing engineering support for Artivion products through all phases of product development and manufacturing. Assists responsible engineer in bringing new products on-line ensuring desired functionality, efficient manufacture, and regulatory compliance. Responsible for supporting the responsible engineer in refining existing product processing to increase efficiency while maintaining required quality requirements. Assists in engineering changes and provides design support for assigned products. Assists responsible engineer in packaging and labeling testing and updates. Supports resolution to production problems and business continuity issues for assigned products.
Responsibilities:
- Supports responsible engineers in development and review of engineering drawings, specifications, procedures and tooling for production and inspection of assigned products.
- Assists the responsible engineer in the development and implementation of basic product manufacturing processes.
- Supports responsible engineers in assuring assigned processes successfully produce components or sub-assemblies that conform to applicable drawings, specifications, and procedures.
- Supports responsible engineers in evaluation and validation of manufacturing processes and packaging.
- Analyzes basic Manufacturing related problems of assigned products and proposes solutions with responsible engineer's support.
- Supports responsible engineer in executing Engineering Change Notices and evaluation of impact on functionality, performance and safety requirements, under managerial oversight.
- Supports the responsible engineer in resolution of nonconformances and minor CAPA items.
- Supports responsible engineer in maintenance of design files and production documentation for assigned product lines.
- Performs additional duties as assigned by Manager or Mentor.

Qualifications:
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Biomedical, Industrial or related field of engineering).
- Familiarity with Computer Aided Design preferred.
- Ability to follow and execute instructions to make engineering changes.
- Demonstrates the ability to manage multiple tasks to completion.
- Demonstrates the ability to analyze problems and develop practical solutions.
- Demonstrates good verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrates attention to detail and the ability to produce results.
- Demonstrates good interpersonal skills in a team environment.
