Description
The CRA Officer is responsible for ensuring the organization's compliance with the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), promoting activities that meet the credit needs of the communities in which the organization operates. This role involves developing, implementing, and monitoring programs to ensure compliance with the CRA regulations while fostering partnerships with community organizations and stakeholders.
- Develops the CRA program in conjunction with the Chief Risk Officer and the TPB CRA and Fair Lending Committee.
- Implements and oversees the bank's CRA Programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal Community Reinvestment Act banking regulations to meet the credit needs of Bank's defined CRA assessment areas.
- Maintain an ongoing monitoring program which will provide management with timely information about the bank's CRA compliance position and gaps in CRA delivery of services, products, and investments to allow management to modify its goals and activities as required to maintain a Satisfactory CRA compliance rating.
- Identify, validate, and timely report all applicable loans for CRA, HMDA, and Community Development; work with appropriate business units to capture all reportable information.
- Maintain and update the public file with information regarding the bank's CRA performance, making it available to the public as required
- Work in concert with the bank's Training and Development Officer to develop and deliver CRA training programs for staff, management, and the Board.
- Prepare for and manage CRA examinations conducted by regulatory agencies and internal audits, including collection of information, materials, and other data.
- Serves as the subject matter expert of CRA laws, rules, and regulations by maintaining a deep and up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements, proposed legislation, and announcements.
- Leads and coordinates the CRA and Fair Lending Committee by organizing meeting dates and times, setting agendas, and facilitating discussions - particularly those focused on the bank's current CRA performance, goals, and opportunities for improvement - to ensure efforts support regulatory compliance and long-term community impact.
- Develops and maintains strong relationships with community organizations, nonprofit agencies, and local stakeholders to identify credit and community development opportunities that align with the bank's CRA strategy.
- Act as a liaison between the bank and the community to ensure the bank remains responsive to community credit needs, particularly in low- and moderate-income areas.
- Maintain CRA-related software for reporting and analytics.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in related field of study. Minimum 7 years relevant experience in complex banking environment. Management background and demonstrated leadership excellence required.
- Experience with external examinations for community banks preferred
- CRCM or related certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of Fair Lending and Community Reinvestment Act regulatory requirements
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret government regulations, trade journals and legal documents.
Salary Description
$75,000.00 to $110,000.00
