OVERALL PURPOSE

This position ensures consistency in the operationalization of onboarding and ongoing requirements in support of the Third Party Risk Managers in the vetting and due diligence of the Third Party Risk Management department.

Responsibilities of this position include coordinating and conducting the preparation and review of all types of third party vetting activities including external due diligence, regulatory reviews, document assurance review, maintaining files and systems updates, and administering reporting around due diligence results in support of onboarding and ongoing monitoring of the Company's Third Party Risk Management program.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Execute Flawlessly

  • Performs centralized vetting and due diligence on new third parties and ongoing vetting and due diligence on existing third parties tracking and reporting all key deadlines for team, management, and committee reporting.
  • Analyzes historical findings and third party content to determine trends and permanence of previously documented corrective action plans.
  • Document evidence and results of all required due diligence including findings, action plans, maintaining centralized repository results.
  • Support internal audits related to Third Party Risk Management, including audit and assessment response, documentation gathering, and reporting of findings.

Solving Problems

  • Provides objective analysis, recommendations and comments regarding all findings and concerns of the activities assessed.
  • Administer processes including the creation and updating of procedures to encourage use of standard forms/templates/reporting to support policy requirements.

Relationships Fostered

  • Understands relationship, model and risk of entities and interacts with internal and external customers to complete due diligence and assists in the selection and tailoring of approaches, methods, and tools to support both internal and external third party risk management policies.
  • Support the Third Party Risk Managers in onboarding, and ongoing monitoring responsibilities, including but not limited to coordinating meetings, gathering documentation, participating in meetings, and managing the response to all issues.
  • May provide backup or overflow support to Third Party Risk Management staff as necessary.

Strategically Centered

  • Collect, analyze, and assemble data for performance and risk reporting to all levels of organizational leadership.
  • Help maintain business-line's process inventory and internal control environment inventory; support Third Party Risk Management in the execution of Risk and Control Self Assessments.
  • Assist in identification and self-reporting of issues through the ERM Self-Identified Issue Process.
  • Support the company's commitment to risk management and protecting the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 3 years + demonstrated experience with third party risk management, preferably within 2LOD including, risks, controls, assessments, associated business process.
  • Excellent analytical skills, including ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and make recommendations.
  • Ability to review moderately complex contracts and external research results and highlight compliance and operational gaps.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex subject matter to peers and key stakeholders to seek successful conclusion.
  • Superior organizational and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proactive self-starter who is hard-working, diligent, ability to work independently and willing to learn new skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a complex, fast-paced, highly regulated environment, while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with and obtain support from others across key internal stakeholder organizations.
  • Experience with standard risk management frameworks, concepts, and practices including working knowledge and experience within a formal three-lines of defense program.
  • Background and drug screen.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Financial services industry experience
  • Good understanding of risk management and internal control leading practices.
  • Working knowledge of regulatory requirements specific to the business-line.

Physical Requirements

Working conditions consist of a normal office environment. Work is primarily sedentary and requires extensive use of a computer and involves sitting for periods of approximately four hours. Work may require occasional standing, walking, kneeling, and reaching. Must be able to lift 10 pounds occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently. Requires visual acuity and dexterity to view, prepare, and manipulate documents and office equipment including personal computers.

The base pay scale for this position in:
Phoenix, AZ in USD per hour is: $29.00 - $35.00.
Additionally, candidates are eligible for a discretionary incentive plan and benefits.
