As an Aerospace Quality Manager, you will be responsible for providing leadership and expertise in quality as well as achieving overall customer satisfaction. Accordingly, you will supervise all functions associated with maintaining and managing our Aerospace Quality Assurance programs and the quality of our product from order entry to delivery. This position will report to the General Manager and coordinate extensively with the Director of Quality.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Conflict resolution support to the aerospace business within the region with customers and suppliers
  • Customer satisfaction management of Quality with a 98% on-time delivery requirement and error-free parts for the entire region
  • Minimizing customer returns for the lowest R&A% possible
  • Responsible for quality reporting requirements
  • Implementation of a solid corrective action system with follow-up
  • Capability studies and SPC of major pieces of equipment
  • First Article Inspection
  • Provide leadership in implementing and managing AS9100 and AS9120 quality system policies, programs, and practices for multiple locations
  • Maintain applicable quality certifications and ensure compliance to requirements
  • Work with cross-functional teams on quality related issues
  • Vendor quality management working with our Supply Chain group (includes claim processing)
  • Implementing and meeting customer-specific quality requirements and reporting
  • Continuous improvement projects in all areas of our business for process efficiencies and error reduction utilizing LEAN
  • Advise and train managers and supervisors on their roles and responsibilities in the aerospace quality program
  • Ensure compliance with company quality policies, procedures, and practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or similar business area
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in the aerospace quality management environment
  • Experience working with business analytic software such as Microsoft PowerBI, Azure Analytics, IBM Cognos BI / TM1 is a strong plus
  • Extensive knowledge of AS 9100 and AS 9120 requirements
