The AVP Relationship Manager for the Fintech Solutions division is a key member of the Client Services team, which is responsible for the day-to-day risk and client relationship management activities within the Fintech Solutions division. The AVP Relationship Manager position acts as a central point of contact between The Bancorp and its clients for day-to-day activities as well as the internal departments within the bank. As the primary point of contact they are an integral part of a team-based approach to providing day to day client support. This position is also responsible for monitoring key performance and risk indicators for programs under their management and works collaboratively with clients to enable growth opportunities.



Responsibilities

Essential Functions

    The AVP Relationship Manager acts as the central point of contact between The Bancorp and its clients for day-to-day activities. They advocate on behalf of their assigned clients within the Bank and ensures clients are kept abreast of Bank standards, policies, and expectations through regular communication via multiple channels.
  1. Manages relationships with a focus on building client loyalty through the delivery of best-in-class service.
  2. Works with the clients to obtain required documentation, reporting and other information needed to monitor performance, overcome obstacles, and facilitate third-party oversight activities.
  3. Handles the client's day-to-day questions and requests in a timely and efficient manner.
  4. Fosters close working relationships with peers and subject matter experts in other Fintech Solutions departments and various internal risk management functions.
  5. Works directly with clients, service providers, and internal departments to identify and resolve issues and remediate findings resulting from bank oversight activities.
  6. Schedules and facilitates, regular meetings between Bancorp and its clients. Documents meeting discussions and ensures all follow-up items are addressed within agreed upon timeframes and to the satisfaction of all parties.
  7. Keeps clients informed of applicable payment network rules and regulations (i.e., Visa/Mastercard, NACHA, The Clearing House), as well as regulatory, or bank policy changes.
  8. Stays current on payment industry trends and emerging products.
  9. Assists in the approval process of new marketing materials, including ensuring the review process is moving in a timely manner and internal stakeholders have the information required to make appropriate decisions.
  10. Assists in the preparation and presentation of new client initiatives to relevant approval committees, as needed.
  11. Works with Client Account Executives and internal risk management functions to conduct periodic relationship reviews and annual due diligence assessments.
  12. Works with clients to obtain timely and accurate responses to all consumer complaints.
  13. Develops and maintains a strong understanding of the rules and regulations that govern the products and services being offered by the Bank.
  14. Facilitates the completion of various projects as assigned by management.
  15. Ensures proper escalation of issues and risk concerns to management of issues in accordance with departmental standards.
  16. Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Education/Experience Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in a financial services or related field or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • 3 years of corporate relationship management, product development, vendor and/or project management experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior banking or financial services experience.
  • Experience creating and delivering presentations.
  • Prior experience managing and/or presenting in large corporate meetings.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Team player able to work effectively in a team fostered, multi-tasking environment.
  • Ability to explain complex information in simple terms.
  • Proactive and highly self-motivated.
  • Strong decision-making skills and the ability to take the lead.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook.
  • Detail oriented with strong project and time management skills.
  • Ability to research and seek out information.
