Lactalis Heritage Dairy: inviting you to share with us your STORY, your PASSION, and your EXPERTISE From your PASSION to ours: Position Overview: Operates industrial fork trucks equipped to move materials and finished goods around the warehouse supplying lines and departments. From your EXPERTISE to ours: Key responsibilities for this position include: * Move controls to drive an electric-powered industrial fork truck to transport materials between loading, processing, and storage areas. * Move levers and controls that operate lifting devices, such as forklifts, hoists, and elevating platforms, to load, unload, transport, and stack material. * Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and auxiliary equipment, such as cleaning and recharging batteries. * Understand Production Schedule. * Verify SAP tag on load and load and remove finished goods. * Supply Depalletizer, Spray Dry, Elevator, Filling, Blenders, Cupline, Fresh Shreds, Gas Flush and 600 areas * Work independently in a Team Based environment. * Comply with company policies, GMP's and safety rules. * Perform other duties as directed by the shipping Team Leader and/or DRE as needed for an efficient operation of the Job duties noted above. * Ensure food safety. * Familiar with Quality programs as outlined in QRMP such as GMP's, Traceability, HACCP, Allergens, CCP, hold process and verifying raw ingredients. * Performs/follows all applicable HACCP and Quality Guidelines. * Observes all Safety, Environmental Regulations, Accident Prevention Procedures and Food Safety Procedures. * Perform weekly Bin Inventory. * Assist / Supply other departments as needed. * When proficient train other employees. Requirements From your STORY to ours: Education and Experience * High School Diploma/GED * At least 1 yr. previous manufacturing experience preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities * Previous food manufacturing experience a plus * Use of motorized hand truck/ pallet jack is required (training provided) * Use of fork truck (PIT) is required (training provided) * Must wear PPE (ear protection, steel-toed shoes, hard hat, safety glasses, sanitation gear) * The ability to work in a fast-paced environment * Use of a computer for SAP and computer-based safety training, calculator, scale and various hand tools The statements included in this Position Description reflect, in general, the duties and responsibilities of this position and are not to be interpreted as being all-inclusive. |
