Michigan Medicare Compliance Claim Support Processor - The Auto Club Group

What you will do:

The Auto Club Group is seeking prospectiveMichigan Medicare Compliance Claim Support Processorwho provides support to the Claims department by completing well defined clerical tasks that require a general understanding of the Claims process, business context and the Claims department organization and workflow.

In this position,day-to-day routine tasks include:

  • Copying paper
  • Scanning documents,
  • Sending and receiving faxes
  • Completing form letters
  • Process previously approved checks
  • Creating and coding paper and electronic claim files based on pre-determined detailed instructions.
  • Handling general inquiry routing calls regarding claim files.
  • Working requires detailed compliance to specific instructions, with significant supervisory oversight.
  • May be assigned tasks normally handled at a higher level as needed

We're looking for candidates who:

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience:

  • Working with P.C. software applications

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Work under significant supervision
  • Demonstrate compliance to specific instructions
  • Work well under pressure
  • Organize and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Prepare and code claim files
  • Communicate effectively with others over the telephone and in person
  • Use basic math skills
  • Bend and stoop in order to file and/or retrieve claims documents
  • Use automated processing and computer systems
  • Maintaining accurate files and records
Preferred Qualifications: Education:
  • Associates degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or applicable field
The ability to:
  • Communicate proficiently both orally and written. Proficient typing skills preferred
  • Remain organized and work on multiple tasks simultaneously and efficiently
  • Work independently on a remote basis and be self-sufficient within a professional setting
  • Adapt and learn new concepts quickly as advised

Experience:

  • Strong customer service experience (2-3 years preferred)
  • Medical billing experience preferred but not required
  • Working within a claims or insurance environment preferred but not required
  • Working within a heavy team environment
  • Performing both inbound and outbound calls to internal and external clients
  • Call center or call queue experience
Work Environment

This is a hybrid work arrangement (time spent in office and remote). Depending on the employee's role and leadership's assessment, some employees will come in to an ACG facility on a weekly basis, a monthly basis, or on an "as needed" basis for key meetings and collaborative activities. Most employees will be required to come into the office, at a minimum, for important departmental meetings or teambuilding events.

For this opening, employees will perform daily work duties on a remote basis with any needed in office visits outlined by management. This position will be required to report in office as outlined by the management team at minimum for team meetings and specific assignments. Candidates must reside within the state of Michigan for hybrid purposes.
