Position description

We are seeking a motivated, full-time Clinical Immunologist who desires a career in an academic setting. The appointment will be in the Health Sciences clinical track; academic rank will be commensurate with experience. Applicants must be board certified/eligible in Allergy & Immunology. Duties include inpatient coverage at UCLA Ronald Reagan Hospital and Santa Monica Hospital (adult and children); outpatient clinic in Westwood or other sites as required by the division; teaching of fellows and residents; and participation in research or other scholarly endeavors. Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree, be eligible to work in the United States and be licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of California. The Immunology Clinic at UCLA was one of the first established in the US, operating for over 50 years in the care of children and adults with genetic immune diseases. We have outstanding capabilities in advanced genetic sequencing and bespoke immunological testing to diagnose and treat patients who come from all over the world for our care. We are a major referral center for SCID in California. We participate in hematopoietic stem cell transplants, gene therapies, and cell-based therapies. Our center is designated a Jeffrey Modell Foundation Center. The ideal applicant will be comfortable with genetic testing, immunological testing (including flow cytometry), and treatment of complex immune diseases.
