Business Development Intern

Assured Information Security (AIS) has an opening for a Business Development (BD) intern to support daily operations of the department. This is an onsite position located at our headquarters in Rome, NY. This position is offered in partnership with the Oneida County College Corp internship program.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Anticipated tasking falls under the three main categories outlined below. There may be additional related tasks based on the needs of the business and the candidate's ability.

• Administrative and knowledge management support: set meetings and agendas; take, maintain, and disseminate meeting notes; maintain/update BD news and knowledge base content
• Research assistance: conduct internet and database searches on assigned topics/tasks; organize, summarize, and/or present findings
• Proposal and white paper-related support: create document templates; collect boilerplate/standard content; participate in document reviews and/or edit written content as requested.

Education, Skills & Experience:

• Pursuing a degree in Business, Communications or related field
• Prior BD internship or experience preferred
• Oneida County resident
• Complete applicable paperwork with Oneida County
• Must be able to start May 19, 2025
• Strong internet search/query skills; familiarity with advanced search operators preferred
• Microsoft Office suite experience preferred, SharePoint experience and intermediate to advanced Word formatting skills strongly preferred

US Hourly Range: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on several factors including skills and experience.
