Summary

As a Marketing Analyst at NRG, you will be a key contributor to our marketing strategy, leveraging data to optimize campaigns and drive business growth. This role blends strategic analysis with hands-on execution, allowing you to both develop insightful recommendations and see them through to implementation. You will be responsible for managing aspects of the analytical strategy and execution for campaign analytics and insights, providing actionable intelligence to enhance our marketing effectiveness. Ideal candidates will have business analytics, strategy or marketing experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced and fun environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage comprehensive analytical strategies to evaluate campaign performance and identify key insights.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of marketing data, including campaign results, customer behavior, and market trends, to inform strategic decisions.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop dashboards to monitor marketing effectiveness.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to marketing, sales, and leadership teams based on data-driven insights.
  • Analyze competitive marketing activities, including campaigns, content, and digital strategies, to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Collaborate and develop and refine customer segmentation and targeting strategies based on data analysis.
  • Help design and leverage a data-driven attribution methodology to establish and improve the effectiveness of marketing and campaign activity.
  • Support marketing initiatives; providing insights on campaign results, customer needs, and customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare and organize data from multiple sources to create reports and dashboards.
  • Build, cleanse, and manage audience lists for campaigns, surveys, and communications.
  • Work with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Siebel) to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Assist in the implementation of marketing campaigns and initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing analytical strategies.
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

Additional Skills

  • 2+ years of experience in marketing analytics, business analysis, or a related role.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical abilities with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and balance competing priorities and deadlines in an organized manner.
  • Self-motivated and driven, demonstrable positive attitude.
  • Clear appetite for learning and demonstrating a curious mind.

Working Conditions

Majority of work performed by utilizing a computer in a seated position

Willingness to travel occasionally (~10%)

Some overtime required as special projects arise
