Must be able to stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift 50 pounds. Previous experience with facility or related work preferred. Preference will be given to UAFS Students and candidates with previous facility or related work experience. Other job related education and/or experience may be substituted for part of these requirements. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: * Escort internal and external personnel and contractors to occupied and unoccupied rooms and locations. * Assist with transferring items related to housing. * Manage keys for UAFS personnel and contractors and conduct key inventory. * Assist with the preparation of rooms for student move-in. * Move furniture and mattresses. * Launder, sort, and store linens. * Assist with holding items in place, carrying items, and monitoring areas while employees complete work. * Report any major facility issues or potential housing policy violations. * Assist with inventory of furniture and supplies. * Assemble furniture. * Secure rooms and/or buildings by using keys appropriately. * May assist Housing office staff. * Other duties as assigned. Responsible for maintaining a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner to foster teamwork and by providing leadership to subordinates. Requires consistent on-time attendance. Additional Information: Working Relationships: Work in a dynamic fast paced environment where frequent contact with personnel from other agencies, students, and the general public will occur. List Employees Supervised: None Special Job Dimensions: Will work no more than 350 hours between May 12, 2025 and August 15, 2025. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, and be able to bend, stoop, and stand during shifts. Other physical activities associated with this position: balancing, crouching, and feeling, manipulate items with fingers, including keyboard, grasping, hearing, kneeling, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, repetitive motion, standing, stooping and walking.
