GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) is seeking a seasoned Collibra Data Governance Manager to lead the design, development, and implementation of data governance processes using Collibra. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with business users to identify attributes requiring data governance rules and establish the corresponding business rules. This role involves creating comprehensive functional and technical documentation, including data governance architecture flows, workflows, and various dimensions of data governance.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of data governance processes using Collibra.

  • Collaborate with business users to identify attributes that require data governance rules and establish the corresponding business rules.

  • Develop detailed functional and technical documentation, such as data governance architecture flows, workflows, and various dimensions of data governance.

  • Implement Collibra Data Governance solutions across GSK, ensuring adherence to data governance standards.

  • Conduct focused training sessions on Collibra's Data Governance Center, covering import, export, workflow, API, installation, integration, and operating model configuration.

  • Provide functional and technical support for customer implementations, ensuring the successful deployment and integration of Collibra solutions.

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to facilitate discussions on data stewardship and governance.

Basic Qualifications :

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in data governance and the Collibra operating model.

  • Extensive experience in data governance, with expertise in large-scale data analysis, data mining, data visualization, data science, business intelligence, and business analysis.

  • Proficient in the design and implementation of Collibra as a data governance platform to ensure compliance with General Data Protection regulations.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to deliver customer presentations and facilitate discussions.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Expertise in configuring/customizing Collibra, data governance frameworks, metadata management, and data quality.

  • Proficiency in SQL, databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server), and familiarity with data integration tools.

  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and create comprehensive documentation.

  • Experience developing data governance metrics and monitoring compliance.

  • Excellent communication skills for collaboration with business users and IT teams.

  • Proven ability to lead workshops, training sessions, and build strong stakeholder relationships.

  • Preferred: Collibra Certified Ranger or relevant certifications (DAMA, CDMP).

  • Self-motivated, proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
