JAVA Software Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer with 4 to 8 years of experience in IT Service Management Core Java and PL/SQL. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and preferably experience in Investment Banking and Brokerage domains. This hybrid role requires night shift availability and offers an opportunity to work on impactful projects that drive our company's success.

Role: JAVA Software Engineer

Experience: 4-8 years of experience

Responsibilities

* Develop and maintain software applications using Core Java and PL/SQL to meet business requirements.

* Provide technical support and troubleshooting for IT Service Management systems to ensure smooth operations.

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design develop and implement software solutions that align with company goals.

* Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.

* Participate in the full software development lifecycle including requirements gathering design development testing and deployment.

* Optimize and enhance existing software applications to improve performance and scalability.

* Create and maintain technical documentation for software applications and systems.

* Work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and provide effective technical solutions.

* Ensure software applications are secure and comply with industry standards and regulations.

* Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve skills and knowledge.

* Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members to foster a collaborative and productive work environment.

* Participate in on-call rotation to provide support during night shifts and ensure system availability.

* Contribute to the companys mission by developing software that enhances operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

* Must have strong experience in IT Service Management Core Java and PL/SQL.

* Experience in Investment Banking and Brokerage domains is a plus.

* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

* Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

* Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work model and night shifts.

* Proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions.

* Familiarity with software development methodologies and best practices.

Certifications Required

Certified Java Programmer ITIL Foundation Certification

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position depends on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
