Description

This is a Full-Time position (80 hours per pay period) with a Monday - Friday, day shift schedule located on our Scripps Mercy Hospital Campus in San Diego. Once training is complete, this position has a hybrid work schedule with three days in office and two days remote per week, based off of business needs. The Development Coordinator assists directors of development in their efforts to cultivate new and upgraded gifts from clinic/hospital donors and prospects. Assists in organizing annual and major giving efforts specific to various areas. Assists development/events staff in creating and coordinating fundraising events to benefit clinic/hospital approved priorities. Assists in planning and implementing programs/events for prospects and donors. Assists in establishing, implementing and maintaining programs that recognize donors to specified areas on the hospital campus. Provides support services needed to operate the development office.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:



  • Undergraduate degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two years fund-raising or related volunteer and professional experience, preferably in a medical setting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with varied constituencies, including volunteers, physicians, patients and donors.
  • Excellent writing and verbal skills.
  • Computer proficiency, including expertise in Word, Excel and with databases.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment.
  • Creative, self-starting, results-oriented and committed to working as part of a team enterprise.
  • Ability to organize time effectively and manage a large number of tasks simultaneously.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Healthcare experience.
