We are looking for an organized, professional, technical individual to join asa Manager of Mortgage Post Closing. The Manager of Mortgage Post Closing is responsible for overseeing daily operations, as they pertain to reviewing closed loan files and preparing them for boarding for servicing. Working closely with Production Team to ensure we offer our members a positive mortgage servicing experience that will differentiate GTE FINANCIAL from its competitors.

What does GTE look for in a Manager of Mortgage Post Closing?

Leadership:

  • Effectively manage and develop direct reports in managing the day-to-day activities to support the Post Closing operations.
  • Coach, train, and manage assigned staff, ensuring adherence to Credit Union and departmental standards. Prepare timely evaluations that accurately measure employee performance and provide direction for future growth and development. Practice Integrity Coaching principles.
  • For the purpose of maintaining Credit Union goals, it is the responsibility of each employee to strive for the continuous quality improvement of processes and service to internal and external customers by offering processing suggestions for improvements to VP or AVP.

Servicing:

  • Balancing the loans and fees on all onboarding loans with Accounting.
  • Tracking, balancing construction loan draws, inspections and required documentation to complete the construction loan phase.
  • Manages all escalated cases between members and loan servicing to resolution.
  • Manage loss claim process.
  • Responds to internal QC reports for feedback and changes for improvement.
  • Responsible for boarding all closed loans to Fiserv DNA for servicing setup.
  • Perfect post-closing all files for documentation compliance and collateral perfection.
  • Respond to Mortgage Servicing Email requests/inquiries, complete Pending Satisfaction Weekly Report, catching of Daily Checks for department, prepare/respond to partial lien release requests.
  • Assist Vendor Manager with various Servicing related issues as needed.
  • Track recorded mortgages and final title policies; ensuring they are received and scanned into the virtual loan folder.
  • Review outstanding conditions received from Settlement Agents, Brokers, internal departments, etc. for completeness and accuracy to satisfy the terms/condition(s).
  • Update pertinent data within Encompass loan systems accurately and accordingly upon receipt of any corrected documentation.
  • Participate in weekly meeting with AVP Loan Servicing and Closing Manager as needed.

Operational Support:

  • Scan and sort the imaged copies of the closing documents; upload and/or export imaged documents from the Virtual Loan Folder into the Credit Union's internal imaging system as well as the Servicer's imaging system- ensuring file is in the proper order, review and work the missing and original document requests, legal descriptions requests, satisfaction file requests, in addition to any miscellaneous email requests from CFC's.
  • Oversee trailing documents and audit requests/loan sale files as requested while adhering to time frames provided by the requestor.
  • Review and respond to inquiries within the Message Center daily.
  • Have a thorough knowledge of current mortgage system and its features.
  • All work responsibilities are subject to having performance goals and/or targets established as part of the annual performance planning process or as the result of organizational goal and production planning.
  • Must demonstrate a fundamental knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act in addition to other Federal laws, including but not limited to U.S. Patriot Act, Office of Foreign Assets & Control, Anti-Money Laundering, Right to Financial Privacy Act, and the Bank Bribery Act.
  • Qualify For NMLS registration according to the Safe Act.

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree.
  • Min 5 years of experience with at least 1 year of supervisory experience or combination of education and experience.

Position Details:

  • Location: Downtown Tampa - GTE Headquarters
  • Department Hours: Monday- Friday (8:00 am to 5:00 pm)

Full-time hours required, with additional hours as necessary to accomplish objectives, goals, and projects.

Work arrangement will primarily be onsite and occasionally remote. The position, however, is defined as hybrid in nature, (in-office, or remote) and may be changed at any time by management with appropriate notice, if possible.

Required for Remote/Hybrid Work:

  • A quiet workplace so you can focus on delivering excellent service to our members.
  • Some positions will require performance standards to be met to qualify for alternative work arrangements.
  • Required to have power and high-speed internet over 100MB (minimum).
  • Video capability (connection of 1.5 Mbps up and down recommended).
  • Candidates must provide and meet all technical requirements prior to the first day of training.
  • Hybrid candidates must live within driving distance of the office location and be able to regularly commute to and from the office location as needed.
