DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Security Officer 1, you will work with a team consisting of other Security Officers to patrol the facility and protect it from potential threats such as fire, trespassers, and other hazards. Your work will involve ensuring the security of multiple buildings on the property and responding to any emergency situations that may arise. You will also assist visitors, patrol the grounds, and transport residents. As part of your role, you may conduct investigations by gathering evidence and interviewing victims, witnesses, and suspects. You will have the opportunity to work alongside professional staff and contribute to maintaining a safe and secure environment for the residents, employees, and visitors.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Part-time employment (8 hours/day; 40 hours/biweekly)
  • Work hours are 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Work schedule: 1st week work Monday - Wednesday; 2nd week work Monday - Tuesday
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Special Requirement:

  • You must possess a valid Pennsylvania Motor Vehicle operator's license.

Additional Requirement:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
    • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
