NATURE AND SCOPE
The Project Manager leads planning, management, and execution of enterprise projects. Reporting to the Director, Project Delivery, the Project Manager will focus on managing projects across various business segments and developing and maintaining project management standards. The Project Manager is responsible for understanding project goals, managing scope, leading project execution, and proactively communicating with the project team and stakeholders to ensure project outcomes are achieved.
REQUIREMENTS
1. Bachelor's degree in a business or technical field and minimum of 5 years of progressive experience as a project manager, business analyst, and/or quality analyst. Equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience working with cross functional project teams. Prefer experience working on business outcome driven projects.
3. Experience managing projects from inception to delivery, including tracking of project performance relative to schedule and budget. Prefer experience with multiple delivery methodologies, such as agile, waterfall, and iterative delivery.
4. Ability to engage stakeholders and build trusting relationships; strives to understand the goals of the business and project teams.
5. Experience efficiently managing project scope, schedule and cost; and assisting in identifying tradeoffs and making difficult decisions.
6. Adept communicator; providing consistent, concise, relevant, reliable, and timely information to all appropriate stakeholders.
7. Must develop a thorough understanding of company policies and procedures as they relate to this position. Must understand and comply with all job-related State and Federal laws and regulations.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABLITIES
1. Create, review, and gain approval of project plans that specify scope, approach, schedule, milestones, target dates, budget, risk management, and change control plans.
2. Lead project initiation, discovery, execution, and closeout activities; partner with IT teams and project stakeholders to deliver projects that meet and exceed project objectives and expectations.
3. Manage project scope, issues, risks, changes, and deliverable quality to align with stated project goals and objectives.
4. Promote and ensure the project delivery framework is utilized, including Business Analysis, Process and the Operational Effectiveness.
5. Prepare regular status reports and keep management and project leadership informed of status and related issues.
6. Coordinate project testing efforts to ensure what is delivered is what was requested.
7. Define and enhance project management processes and tools; drive adoption of best practices.
8. Manage external partners as related to assigned projects.
9. Promote a compliance & risk aware culture; ensure efficient and effective management practices aimed at risk mitigation and compliance with regulatory governance.
10. Provide clear and timely communication on issues, risks, and changes to project team and stakeholders.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.
