Responsibilities:
- Manages and ensures the timely completion of discrete technical or operational projects.
- Establishes technical requirements for the project.
- Defines project deliverables, schedules, and communicates risks.
- Oversee a project from the planning, tracking, and execution of the project from initiation to completion. Projects are a set of related activities needed to produce specific products or services to meet the customer's requirements.
- Defines what will be accomplished to meet specific programmatic needs and produce the work products defined by the work assignments.
- Functions in an oversight role that will include contributing to the development, implementation and evaluation of program policies, procedures and standards.
- Determines program enhancements.
- Provides technical advice to staff, other departments, and performs related work as required.
- Develops and nurtures effective high-level internal and/or external customer relationships.
- Performs management assessments, causal analysis, tracking and trending of Performance Assurance data, and development of Performance Assurance metrics.
- Plans, organizes, leads, and monitors a wide variety of team efforts to completion.
- Prepares and delivers performance status communications to all levels of management, both internal and external.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of eight years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 8 years in U.S. Department of Energy (DOE).
- 5 years supporting a Cat II Nuclear Facility.
- Documented experience with DevonWay software, corrective action management, and supporting event investigations/Critiques/Root Cause/Effectiveness Reviews.
- Experience in developing and nurturing effective high-level internal and/or external customer relationships.
- Must have documented experience performing management assessments, causal analysis, tracking and trending of Performance Assurance data, and development of Performance Assurance metrics.
- Ability to successfully plan, organize, lead, and monitor a wide variety of team efforts to completion.
- Ability to prepare and deliver performance status communications to all levels of management, both internal and external.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Successful drug screening.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a security or clearance badge.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prefer prior DOE experience supporting Deactivation & Decommissioning (D&D), environmental restoration and 413.3B construction projects.
- Active security clearance.
Location/Work Arrangement:
- This position is Remote with some travel / onsite requirements. Occasional trips to Los Alamos (on boarding and meetings on an "as-needed" basis). The work schedule for this position is 4-10s.
