About the Role: This Planet People Operations team is seeking a detail-oriented individual to assist with all areas of US and Canada payroll and benefits administration. This is a new role and an exciting opportunity for a candidate who wants to gain hands-on experience at a global, publicly-traded company. Although this role will primarily support US and Canada payroll and benefits, this role will also be involved in other areas of People Operations as needed. This is a full-time, hybrid position based in the San Francisco Bay Area and is expected to work from our San Francisco HQ approximately 3 days per week. Impact You'll Own: Support US payroll administration, including setting up new hire profiles, assisting with audits, collecting and processing timesheet data, and answering employee inquiries Support US benefits administration, including answering employee inquiries, approving enrollments and QLEs, coordinating with external benefits vendors, and submitting invoices Document current processes and policies for internal-facing documents as well as employee-facing communications (such as on our Wiki) Perform reconciliations between HR, payroll, and benefits systems to ensure employee data accuracy Partner with other areas of the People Team and Finance on tasks and projects Assist with other areas of People Operations as needed What You Bring: 2+ years of experience in US payroll administration Experience or exposure to US benefits administration and leave of absence (LOA) management Experience in an administrative role requiring impeccable attention to detail, process adherence, and time management Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets experience (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.) Ability to effectively communicate with employees on payroll and/or benefits issues What Makes You Stand Out: Paylocity, Bswift, BambooHR, or Tilt experience Experience in other areas of HR or Accounting Experience at a global and/or publicly-traded company Experience with internal or external audits (such as SOX) Experience with Canadian payroll and/or benefits Application Deadline: June 28, 2025 by 11:59 PM PDT Benefits While Working at Planet: These offerings are dependent on employment type and geographical location, based upon applicable law or company policy. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives (bonus and equity). The final salary range is determined by job related experience, skills and location. The range displays our typical hiring range for new hire salaries in US locations only.
