Plays a key role in supporting the Employee Development department's strategy by creating and executing learning initiatives that build professional and soft skills for various levels and departments across the company. With a focus on increasing engagement, self-awareness, effectiveness, and teamwork, designs and facilitates programs on a variety of topics under general supervision. This includes leading live and virtual workshops, experiential simulations, 360 and other assessments, and contributing to the curation of recommended books, videos, podcasts, and job aides that reinforce learning. When appropriate, engages and actively manages the use of external partners to augment the team's skills and deliver complete solutions.
What You'll Work On
* Facilitates learning on a wide variety of topics the department is responsible for, in a manner that engages participants and models the behaviors the organization strives to reinforce.*
* Competently leads participant learning in both virtual and live settings.*
* Demonstrates expertise in developing innovative, customized and engaging content on a variety of the topics the department is responsible for, including working with business to define the learning objective for sessions; researching topic to identify accurate, innovative and engaging material; translating to Penumbra's culture; and providing guidance and understanding to others on team who will also be teaching the content.*
* Consults with departments and management to assess development needs and propose strategies for building leadership, management, teamwork, professional and soft skills.*
* Provides coaching to managers, small groups, and individual employees to address barriers to communication and effective teamwork and their own development.*
* Develops and implements effective programs that integrate newly hired professional staff, including coaching of new managers, regular follow-up at defined intervals, assessing satisfaction among employees and managers, and implementing changes as needed.*
* Supports the Employee Development team on the continuous improvement of processes and material. As a senior member of the team, models behavior that contributes to a healthy and collaborative culture. *
* Adheres to the Company's Quality Management System (QMS) as well as domestic and global quality system regulations, standards, and procedures.*
* Ensures other members of the department follow the QMS, regulations, standards and procedures.*
* Performs other work-related duties as assigned.

What You Contribute
* Bachelor's degree in human resource development, organizational development, psychology or a related field, 10+ years of working in a corporate environment that includes 8+ years of mastery of facilitating, developing and managing training programs or series of workshops on a broad set of topics, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Additional qualifications:
* Extensive experience facilitating, teaching and/or public speaking experience preferred
* Understanding of adult learning principles
* Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
* Prior experience working on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative, understanding implications and able to make recommendations to drive solutions
* Skilled in project management
* Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
* Skilled in utilizing video conferencing technology (Zoom or Teams preferred)
* Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize assignments while handling various projects simultaneously
* Medical device, pharmaceutical, biotech, or other regulated industry experience a plus
Working Conditions
* Working in a combined remote and general office setting environment
* Business travel from up to 5% as needs arise
* Requires some lifting and moving of up to 15 pounds
* The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms, and to use a computer, sitting for extended periods. Specific vision abilities required by this job include the ability to read, close vision, distance vision, color vision,
peripheral vision, and depth perception.
Annual Base Salary Range: $120,000 - $175,000
We offer a competitive compensation package plus a benefits and equity program, when applicable. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location.
