Job Description

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The Business Intelligence Analyst II (BIA) will be responsible for facilitating the design and delivery of data solutions to support quality, compliance and operational processes. The candidate will partner with business and operational stakeholders for the collection and analysis of data.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Independently creates and maintains documentation for Business Intelligence processes, guidelines, best practices and communications
  • Demonstrates proficiency and operational knowledge in at least 2 data dimensions
  • Independently develops new skills to support multiple data domains
  • Partners with the Business Intelligence Developer (BID) to validate, build, and test analytical solutions
  • Gathers and documents business requirements
  • Educates data consumers on how to use Analytical solutions
  • Incorporate agile methodologies for managing new data requests
  • Participates in operational workgroups with complex data needs
  • Participates in data governance program
  • Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the iSCORE values of Jefferson.

OTHER FUNCTIONS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Identifies and resolves problems quickly and effectively determining root cause and long term solutions while minimizing impacts to the environment and end users.
  • Interpret requirements and impacts and needs from initial request through final delivery.
  • Analyzes user requirements and build front-end BI applications according to specifications
  • Demonstrate competency in Agile and Lean Principles and Methodologies
  • Support service now ticket system as assigned
  • Consults with clients and teammates to identify all facets of an issue and generate a solution. Understands potential impacts to processes and systems across organization and factors these into solutions

EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in the field of business administration, computer science, and finance, engineering, or information systems required.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

1 year minimum experience working with EMR data and operational workflows
