JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Clinical Veterinarian Department of Comparative Medicine Penn State Hershey Animal Resource Program Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, PA Position Summary: This position is primarily clinical, providing veterinary care and veterinary services in support of the organization's research mission. In this role, the incumbent will, on a daily basis, diagnose, treat, and manage clinical cases identified in the research colonies; assist with disease surveillance and prevention programs; participate in various activities to ensure compliance with regulations and guidelines; and assist the Director with administration and management of the animal care and use program. In addition, the successful candidate will provide professional service primarily in the areas of anesthesia, surgery and oversee post-operative care of animals in support of specific research programs. There are also opportunities to participate in teaching of veterinary residents, graduate students and medical students, and collaborate on research and other scholarly activities. This position is a non-tenure line faculty appointment at the Assistant Professor level. Responsibilities:
