JOB SUMMARY

The Production Controller is responsible for planning, scheduling, and monitoring production activities to ensure efficient workflow, optimal resource utilization, and on-time delivery of products of the BOS team at multiple Government complexes (Seal Beach, Norco and Fallbrook) in Southern California. This role serves as a key link between production, procurement, inventory, and quality control teams to maintain alignment with demand forecasts, customer requirements, and operational goals. The Production Controller tracks progress against production plans, resolves scheduling conflicts, and ensures that materials, equipment, and labor are available as needed. A strong focus on organization, data accuracy, and communication is essential to succeed in this role. The Production Controller will work closely with upper management to align operations and maintenance with organizational goals, maintain compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and ensure all requirements in the Performance Work Summary (PWS) are met.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Develop and manage detailed production schedules based on customer orders, inventory levels and capacity.
  • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to accommodate delays or changes in demand.
  • Coordinate with procurement and inventory to ensure material and personnel availability.
  • Works and updates US Navy Maximo System.
  • Briefs and prints reports by utilizing US Navy Maximo System.
  • Communicate with operations and shop personnel to track work orders.
  • Maintain accurate production records and generate reports on output, efficiency, and schedule adherence.
  • Identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies and recommend solutions to improve workflow.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist with capacity planning.
  • Lead internal and external audits, and manage documentation related to quality and compliance.
  • Provides support to PMO, Government representatives, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure efficient service delivery and high-quality performance.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of activities, preventative maintenances, and generate regular reports for management review.
  • Enforces all related SOPs.
  • Participate in random drug testing program.
  • Participate in company training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

  • In-depth understanding of base operations support (BOS) functions including facility maintenance, logistics, utilities, custodial services, environmental compliance, and transportation.
  • Knowledge of processes and workflow optimization.
  • Familiarity with US Navy Maximo System.
  • Basic understanding of inventory management and supply chain logistics.
  • Awareness of quality control standards and safety procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations, especially related to government contracting, safety (OSHA), occupational health, and environmental compliance (EPA, NEPA, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Department of Defense (DoD) US Navy operations, standards and terminology.
  • Strong analytical and planning skills.
  • Proficient in Excel and data analysis.
  • Skilled in time management and prioritization under tight deadlines.
  • Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Competent in generating and interpreting production reports.
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.
  • Ability to coordinate across departments.
  • Ability to adapt to shifting production needs and dynamic schedules.
  • Ability to identify and mitigate delays or resource shortages.
  • Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies and audit procedures (internal and external).
  • Strong leadership skills to effectively manage, motivate, and develop staff while ensuring compliance, protocols and policies.
  • Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to think critically and make quick, informed decisions.
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Must be able to operate in a way that is ethical, responsible and professional.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and not disclose it.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent - Required.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in production planning, scheduling or control.
  • Strong knowledge of US Navy Maximo System.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members, management, and external authorities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Valid state driver's license
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance (SECRET).
  • Must pass drug and background screening.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

Yulista fosters a fast paced multi-tasking customer service oriented environment requiring a high degree of efficient and effective performance. Adaptability regarding schedule and task changes is necessary to accommodate changing priorities. Overtime may be required.
