Compliance & Regulatory Affairs Specialist
The Compliance & Regulatory Affairs Analyst I position is responsible for maintaining all licenses and permits necessary for the daily operations of all locations including but not limited to state distribution, operational and boiler and pressure vessel permits. This position is also responsible for export documentation as well as interacting with state agencies and customers as needed. Essential Functions
- Works with the cross functional team to gather documentation necessary to complete permit applications. Arranges and/or participates in meetings to address missing documents.
- Independently monitors and ensures that all permits are renewed on time and we remain in compliance.
- Must maintain knowledge of state labeling requirements. Will review labels for compliance with the applicable state prior to permit submission.
- Maintains working relationships with state agencies for permit fillings.
- Maintains electronic files of all permits, audit reports and certificates.
- Creates internal SOPs and participates in the internal review process of SOPs
- Creates and maintains water finished product specifications for sales use.
- Manages the Compliance Team Splash page by designing and updating the content, as well as, collaborates with IT when needed to make changes
- Handles the accounting functions for the Compliance Department including but not limited to new vendor set ups and check requests.
- Creates export documentation for customers and sales team members including but not limited to free sale certificates, NAFTAs and certificates of origin.
- Coordinates with the plant engineers to schedule boiler and pressure vessel inspections for all facilities to ensure compliance with state and local regulations.
- Support Compliance Department initiatives by testing new systems, completing research and other tasks as needed.
- Works with the Natural Resources team to ensure spring title 21s are completed on time.
- Has a general understanding of QA and Compliance documentation and is able to understand and complete sales and customer requests as needed.
- Develop and maintain positive rapport and working relationship within and across departments.
