Atkore is a recipient of a Great Place to Work certification and a Top Workplaces USA award! We are currently looking for a Sr. Maintenance Planner to be based out of Phoenix, AZ. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this person will be responsible for developing, scheduling, and maintaining all facility preventative and unplanned maintenance work orders and capital projects in support of Atkore's Maintenance Excellence Strategy Initiative.

What you'll do:



  • Establish and maintain work orders and plan for materials and labor as needed. Update maintenance work orders in CMMS and report on status and completion.
  • Prepare weekly schedules, compliance reports and facilitate coordination with the maintenance and electrician teams.
  • Develop and generate capital expenditure requests for engineering and maintenance projects.
  • Identify recurring maintenance problems and develop schedule to reduce repairs needed.
  • Complete written requisitions to procure store items, materials and labor for planned jobs or maintenance requirements.
  • Review incoming work orders to allocate necessary materials and labor to reduce or eliminate backlog of work needed.
  • Review forecasted vs. actual completion date on work orders.
  • Maintain technical library (blueprints, technical documents, wiring diagrams, manufacturers' installation/service manuals, etc.) utilizing these to complete assigned projects.
  • Work directly with Maintenance Manager to monitor and report on key performance indicators regarding all maintenance needs.
  • Ensure overall accuracy and integrity of data entered and maintained in the CMMS system.


What you'll bring:



  • Associates' degree preferred with a minimum of 5+ years maintenance planning experience. Previous experience working as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience working with a CCMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), creating, scheduling, and coordinating preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Writes protocols and maintenance needs for new and improved equipment or processes.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and ability to forecast future maintenance requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills within all levels of the organizations.
  • Participates in Lean Manufacturing and as well as plant initiatives.
  • Demonstrate and foster an environment that upholds the Atkore Core Values of Accountability, Teamwork, Integrity, Respect, and Excellence.



Within 3 months, you'll:



  • Complete your Atkore Immersion Program
  • Understand how your job will help deliver Atkore's strategy
  • Support 5S initiatives throughout the plant



Within 6 months, you'll:



  • Align work priorities with Atkore's strategic direction and deliver practical business solutions
  • Work in partnership with leadership team to identify preventative maintenance efficiency/improvement needs
  • Provide maintenance & continuous improvement strategies to improve operations



Within 12 months, you'll:



  • Serve as a mentor, creating and assigning work orders to hourly Maintenance team members to ensure accountability
  • Inspire a culture of accountability and actively drive individuals toward desired maintenance excellence outcomes
  • Develop processes to help the organization reduce maintenance delays, including building strategic working relationships throughout the organization

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay for this position is $78,800 - $108,350. Placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time. Other compensation may include, but not limited to, overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives.
