DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Carpenter 1, you will perform general carpentry work in the alteration, repair, and maintenance of all buildings within the Linn Run State Park Complex. Some specific duties will entail installing and repairing windows, doors, and screens, in addition to roofing and constructing or maintaining Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) approved handicap ramps, wooden handrails, and steps. You will also be responsible for park signage, fencing, repairing furnishings, and maintaining park inventory for lumber and other materials. Interested in learning more? - Full-time employment, 37.5 hours/week.
- Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM with a 30-minute lunch. Work days and shifts may vary.
- This position performs duties that are routinely executed seven days a week and will be routinely scheduled to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed for park operations and to meet seasonal needs.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Successful completion of the Building Trades Trainee program (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Three years of experience in the construction, installation, repair, restoration, or maintenance of structures and articles made from wood, composite, and wood substitute materials; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Special Requirements:
- This position requires possession of an active motor vehicle license.
