Continuous Improvement Specialist I

Plymouth, WI (On-site)

This position plays a key role in driving a culture of sustainable change throughout the organization by supporting the deployment of Operational Excellence initiatives. The primary focus of this role is to lead and assist with projects that promote continuous improvement and generate measurable cost savings, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals and long-term value creation.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Work with Production to identify opportunities for improvement within the manufacturing process.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Continuous Improvement, and Operations leaders to select key projects to reduce operational costs and improve product quality.
  • Teach and utilize Operational Excellence tools and techniques (i.e. Six Sigma & Lean Manufacturing).
  • Influence other employees to participate in Operational Excellence objectives.
  • Actively participate in the sharing and application of manufacturing best practices.
  • Actively lead Continuous Improvement teams (i.e. Problem Solving Circles and Kaizen Teams) as directed by the Operational Excellence Manager.
  • Develop and communicate the results of process improvement efforts.
  • Work with leadership to validate process improvement results.
  • Perform special projects as assigned by leadership to support quality, food safety, or line start-up needs.
  • Performance of other duties as requested by management, Operational Excellence Manager, and/or Senior Director of Manufacturing - Operations.


Qualifications & Skills:



  • Associate Degree in Quality or Process Engineering preferred, or the equivalent of one to three years of relevant experience with Six Sigma Green Belt certification required.
  • Two to three years of progressive experience in a manufacturing or quality role. Safety experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure, results-driven environment.
  • Must be able to work independently and drive results.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to influence others.
  • Sound and accurate judgment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet critical deadlines.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Redzone Production System, and Tableau.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, preferred understanding of high-speed food manufacturing facility.
  • Ability to use Minitab for basic statistical analysis.
