Description
The Applications Engineer I supports the development of new and existing SCS coating technologies. This includes development of parylene coating processes, as well as liquid coating processes. This position is responsible for investigating and implementing new technologies as well as variations of existing processes in order to meet the expectations of marketing and sales and other goals of the business. This position is also responsible for the investigation and resolution of process anomalies, providing direct interface with key account customers, and providing input on ways to enhance/improve existing processes and procedures in conjunction with manufacturing and quality initiatives. In addition, this Engineer will evaluate and provide working solutions to new and unique customer coating applications as well as generate costing and process documentation. EDUCATION, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or other related area with 1+ years of experience in an engineering capacity in a manufacturing or laboratory setting. Working knowledge of organic coating, liquid coatings, ALD, PECVD processes and/or Parylene coating experience preferred. BASIC SKILLS:
