Overview

TRC seeksan innovativeleader to serve in a dual role as lead for both the Lighting and Small Business offers of the Existing Buildings program. This role leads the program's design, development, and client management for the program's small business strategy. Additionally, this role leads the commercial downstream lighting program. This role also provides implementation support to operations, measure development, and program development teams as it pertains to Lighting and Small Business.

This position includes working with internal team members, partners, subcontractors and clients to ensure smooth development and delivery, continuous enhancements, goal-setting, and overall success in serving small businesses. In addition, this person reports to and works closely with the Program Implementation Manager to operationalize and improve these program offerings.

This person will be a leader with proven success in an energy efficiency program, managing subcontractors and cross-functional teams with superb communication skills and business acumen. Experience with lighting technologies is very desirable.The ideal candidate will have experience designing tracking systems, managing budgets and acting as point person with consulting clients. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be assertive, personable, and a self-starter, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and data, working under the guidance of the program management team.This positionrequires the ability to communicate effectively and coordinate with internal technical team members, outreach members and external customers.


Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Act as main point of contact to client, responding to requests and communicating programmatic changes, issues and developments for Lighting and Small Business offerings.
  • Act as main point of contact for internal team regarding Small Business and Lighting strategy.
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of the program's small business strategy. This includes acting as the primary point of contact for the client, coordinating and collaborating with PMC partners, and partnering with internal teams.
  • This position will manage third party vendors, work with contractors, property owners/managers, community-based organizations and other stakeholders
  • Responsible for developing and executing strategic program implementation plans for lighting and small business plans
  • Work independently and in teams, across channels, sectors and departments, to implement the programs to meet the objectives and goals identified scope of work
  • Oversee the plans from implementation to completion; ensure critical milestones are met, develop processes and procedures, and conduct assessments throughout the implementation stage and modify the process as needed
  • Contribute heavily to program design & development with a focus on enhancing customer experience, implementing continuous process improvements, and minimizing evaluation risk
  • Support Small Business measure development process by collecting stakeholder input, researching customer impact, proposing program design, and utilizing data to respond to respond to various requests.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g. Operations, Program Development, Data, Outreach, Marketing, Trade Ally, Management), clients and community partners to develop informed program designs and implementation plans for both Lighting and Small Business programs.
  • Coordinate with program team members in other program functional areas to foster the exchange of ideas and promote cross-team collaboration.
  • Attend and represent the program at strategy and development meetings with client, PDC, other PMCs and subcontractors.
  • Collaborate with Senior Program Manager, internal support team and act as main point of contact for subcontractors.
  • Support standard and ad-hoc internal and external reporting requests that demonstrate program progress and inform future planning Lighting and Small Business Strategy.
  • Manage, develop and refine existing tracking systems for goals, budget management and forecasting.

Qualifications

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • At least 3-5 years of relevant experience is required
  • Direct client interface experience is required
  • Understanding of Energy Efficiency Lighting Programs is required; lighting program implementation or design is preferred
  • Interpersonal skills:
  • Excellent client management skills.
  • Self-driven and a team player with established critical thinking, analytical, and problem- solving skills.
  • Strong teamwork skills that include highly effective communication in-person, over email, and over the phone.
  • Organizational skills:
  • Ability to contribute to multiple projects simultaneously with demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills including the ability to monitor and manage project progress.
  • Ability to coordinate, schedule and conduct team meetings professionally.
  • Technical competency:
  • Basic knowledge of energy efficiency, related technology, and building science principles is required
  • Technical knowledge of lighting systems and an understanding of manufacturer/distributor business models and the relationship with installation contractors.
  • Strong computer proficiency that ensures day-to-day work and meeting attendance can be performed successfully. Experience using MS Office (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to conduct independent computer-based research is required.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
