Your role and responsibilities
The IS Applications Specialist delivers essential IT technical support to the ABB Westville plant and its staff. Their responsibilities include diagnosing, documenting, and resolving technical issues to ensure the smooth operation of networks, systems, hardware, software, and peripherals. The IS Application Specialist will work daily with different end users of all types of functions and departments at ABB Westville. The work model for the role is: Onsite. #LI-Onsite This role is contributing to the NEMA Motors Division in Westville, OK. You will be mainly accountable for: *Configuring and deploying desktops, laptops, tablets, and peripherals, while managing network equipment, virtual & physical servers, and data backups. *Providing technical support for hardware, software, network systems and ERP System. *Collaborate with Engineering and Maintenance on improvement initiatives and creation of technical documentation and leading user training. *Advise on software and hardware upgrades for business continuity to enhance the employee experience and coordinate the installation and optimization of third-party tools. *Provide exceptional customer service by actively listening to employee needs, resolving issues efficiently, and ensuring a positive experience. *Supervise and mentor the IT assistant.
Qualifications for the role
- Bachelor's / Associate's Degree (Preferred) with experience supporting and troubleshooting systems, applications, software and hardware OR High School Diploma with minimum 2 years experience supporting and troubleshooting systems, applications, software and hardware.
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills with ability to work with end users and resolve problems with demonstrated flexibility and motivation, to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong analytical thinking with a deep understanding Microsoft Office, servers, networks, and applications.
- Preferred Experience Includes: SAP or equivalent ERP Systems, Helpdesk, IS Support, Java, C#, SQL, Python, PowerBI, AI/ML Framework, ABAP, WorkDay, Application Installation
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
