Responsibilities

This role is eligible for a $10,000 signing bonus

As a Primary Therapist, you will play a vital role in the therapeutic journey of our clients aged 12- young adult. You will conduct thorough assessments, develop personalized treatment plans, and facilitate individual, family, and group therapies.

Essential Duties:

  • Family Communication: Serve as the proactive clinical point of contact for families, ensuring open lines of communication and support throughout the treatment process.
  • Therapeutic Facilitation: Lead individual, family, and group therapies within the framework of Newport Healthcare's clinical model and Attachment-Based Family Therapy.
  • Family Engagement: Facilitate new Family Orientations, Welcome Presentations, and Family Support Groups, helping families feel informed and connected.
  • Comprehensive Assessments: Complete risk assessments and initial safety plans upon admission, as well as biopsychosocial assessments and treatment plans.
  • Collaborative Treatment Planning: Work closely with the client's treatment team to coordinate treatment goals and services as well as attend weekly treatment team meetings, staff meetings, and clinical supervision to collaborate and share insights with colleagues

Qualifications

  • Education: A Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a closely related therapeutic field is required.
  • Licensure: Candidates must be licensed or actively pursuing clinical licensure in the state of Minnesota. This includes receiving clinical supervision and counting clinical supervision hours. An associate-level license in the State of Minnesota (LAMFT, LGSW, LPC) is preferred.
  • Candidates who are not independently licensed will be considered for an associate therapist role, If your degree is in a closely related field and you are pursuing an LPCC, you must demonstrate that your education meets the coursework requirements of the license, either through your own comparison or an unofficial review with the Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy.
  • Experience with individual, family, and/or group therapy with young adults/adolescents
  • Experience with mental health, substance abuse, eating disorders, or trauma-informed treatment preferred.

Pay range for this position is $76,320 to $105,000 annually depending on education and experience.

$10,000 Signing bonus
