Responsibilities

Are you passionate about horses and eager to make a difference? Join our team as an Equine Specialist Extraordinaire! In this exciting role, you'll be the eyes and ears of our equine friends, ensuring their happiness and safety while creating unforgettable experiences for our clients. You'll lead Equine Learning sessions, share your knowledge, and help our equines shine-all while having a blast!

Key Responsibilities:

Stress Detective: Keep a close watch on our equines' stress levels and burnout rates. Your keen observations will help keep our furry friends relaxed and happy!

Learning Leader: Facilitate fun and engaging Equine Learning groups where clients can connect with our amazing equines and learn about their unique personalities.

Behavior Buddy: Monitor equine behavior during sessions, taking detailed notes to help create a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone involved.

Equine First Responder: Be ready to jump in with emergency care and first aid for our equine pals when needed. Your quick thinking will keep them safe!

Therapeutic Matchmaker: Assist in selecting the perfect therapeutic equines for our programs and lend a hand with administrative tasks to keep everything running smoothly.

Training Partner: Team up with the Equine Program Supervisor to develop fun training and enrichment activities that keep our herd engaged and thriving.

Fitness Coach: Create and maintain a regular exercise and training schedule for each equine, and delegate tasks to ensure everyone stays active and happy.

Barn Buddy: Pitch in with barn chores and stall maintenance as needed, because teamwork makes the dream work!


Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Five (5) years' experience working with and engaging clients with mental health issues preferred.
  • Natural Lifemanship, EAGALA, or PATH certification preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience with equines in a professional setting preferred.

Compensation for this role ranges from $22.82-$27.38 per hour depending on education and experience.
