  • Salary Range - $85,000 to $95,000
  • Clearance - Must have Top Secret Clearance
  • Location - China Lake CA / Ridgecrest CA
  • Travel - Travel is required/10-15% (as an estimate)


Summary: The goal of this position is to provide Instructional Design & Curriculum Development support to the government customer. This position provides support to the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD) Digital Precision Strike Suite (DPSS) Development and Sustainment Support Program. This is remote worker position with a work location within a 50-mile communizing distance of NAWS China Lake, CA; Travel is required.

Design & Curriculum Development Journeyman:



  • Apply evidence-based instructional design models to create engaging and effective learning courses and guides
  • Capable of developing learning objectives, assessments and content that align with the needs of software end-users.
  • Design interactive and multimedia elements to enhance the learning experience and can evaluate the effectiveness of instructional content through feedback, analytics and metrics, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.


Qualifications and Certifications



  • Top Secret Clearance, SCI Eligible
  • Must have a bachelor's degree in instructional design, education, curriculum development or a related field.
  • Candidate must have 3 to 5 years of proven experience in instructional design, curriculum development and/or educational program creation
  • The journeyman has experience working with cross-functional teams, launching and coordinating rollout of multiple training programs to a variety of stakeholders and users.
  • Journeyman typically:

    • Capably perform all functional duties
    • Operate independently
    • Exhibit a professional/positive attitude
    • Projects voice clearly and displays confidence/ease in front of groups.
