Compensation: $75,000-95,000 Annually

Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Mid-Level Staff Scientist, Geologist, or Engineer to join our Environmental Line of Business. The successful candidate will support environmental investigation, remediation, and compliance projects across the country, while contributing to impactful and sustainable environmental solutions. Our team is committed to addressing and solving complex environmental challenges, aiming for sustainability and regulatory compliance.

Leisnoi Diversified Services is looking for a results-driven environmental professional to lead field-based environmental remediation projects. You'll work directly with the project management team on high-impact projects, managing tasks in the field, and supporting environmental reporting and compliance from the ground up. This is a travel-intensive role (up to 50%) and ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic outdoor environments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):



  • Prepare work plans and technical reports, including site characterizations, sampling plans, corrective action plans, and closure reports while ensuring rigorous adherence to quality and regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate and lead environmental investigations including site assessments and subsurface explorations that include multimedia field data collection and documentation.
  • Provide oversight of subcontractors performing utility location, environmental drilling/well installation, and remediation, including evaluation of compliance with contracted technical specifications and scopes.
  • Support the implementation of strategic remediation plans for contaminant management in soil, groundwater, and other media.
  • Coordinate and liaise with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies to ensure seamless project compliance with environmental laws and regulations.
  • Uphold stringent safety and quality standards, ensuring the implementation of best practices and protocols during fieldwork, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Drive continuous improvement in environmental remediation and compliance methodologies through innovative solutions and best practice integration.
  • Lead and manage field teams in all aspects of assigned work, ensuring accurate execution of tasks and adherence to project objectives.
  • Serve as a task leader for environmental projects, providing strategic direction, technical expertise, and ensuring successful project delivery.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Engineering, or Environmental Science.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in environmental investigation, remediation and compliance.
  • Knowledge and experience with federal and state environmental regulatory requirements including CERCLA, RCRA, and the Clean Water Act. Experience emerging contaminants and cutting-edge remediation technologies a plus.
  • Skilled in soil logging (ASTM D5434), sampling contaminated media, and interpreting and presenting field/analytical data.
  • Knowledge and experience working on Federal Facilities, including EPA and DOD policies and procedures associated with environmental compliance, investigation and remediation.
  • Exceptional task management capabilities, with a proven ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
  • Strong competency in both written and oral communication, capable of conveying technical information to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% for project assignments.
  • A Pre-employment drug screening is required.
  • Must Possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record without restrictions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and standard field documentation tools.
  • Able to pass a background check, drug screening, and HAZWOPER medical exam.
  • Current 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification (with up-to-date 8-hour refresher).


Physical Demands



  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Traverse uneven terrain and work in variable outdoor conditions.
  • Able to kneel, stoop, and crouch for extended periods.
  • Must be able to obtain a HAZWOPER medical clearance.
