Director, Customer IAM

About the Role:

The Director of Customer IAM will lead our identity and access management (IAM) team for Customer Identities, covering Governance, Architecture, Engineering and Operations. This role involves implementing the IAM strategy on a global scale and providing automation and orchestration to ensure reliable operations and high service levels. The Director will also play a critical role in securing and optimizing our IAM systems, protecting sensitive data, and supporting the development of secure technology solutions across all regions.

• Leadership and Strategy: Implement a comprehensive Customer IAM strategy that aligns with TD SYNNEX's global business goals and objectives and Cybersecurity roadmap.

• Technology Integration: Oversee the integration and management of IAM technologies for Governance, Authentication, Access Control, Federation and SSO, MFA and Privileged Access

• Secure Access Management: Ensure robust access management practices, including authentication, authorization, and user provisioning.

• Application Integration: Support development teams in integrating their portals and applications with the industry standards based technology stack provided by Customer IAM.

• Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant IAM standards and regulations across all regions.

• Incident Response: Lead the response to IAM-related security incidents, including investigation, containment, and remediation.

• Collaboration: Work closely with IT teams, security teams, and other stakeholders to integrate IAM solutions into business processes and technology initiatives.

• Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver IAM training programs to enhance awareness and promote best practices among employees.

• Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on the status of IAM initiatives and risk management efforts.

• Federation and SSO: Ensure robust management of federations and SSO integrations using industry standard protocols.

• AI in IAM: Leverage AI technologies to enhance IAM measures and address emerging threats.

• Scripting and Automation: Implement automation for IAM processes using scripting languages such as Python and PowerShell.

• 15 Years+ of work experience in IT and IAM

• >8 to 10 Years of experience directly managing / supervising employees focused on IAM

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field required

• Master's / Post Graduate Degree preferred

• Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of IAM principles, including authentication, authorization, user provisioning, conditional access policies, Federation and SSO.

• Technology Proficiency: Expertise in market leading IAM technologies.

• Scripting and Automation: Proficiency in scripting languages like Python and PowerShell for automating IAM processes.

• Risk Management: Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate IAM-related risks effectively.

• Regulatory Compliance: Understanding of global IAM standards and regulations, and ability to ensure compliance.

• Incident Response: Proficiency in leading and managing IAM-related security incidents, including investigation, containment, and remediation.

• Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives, manage teams, and drive results.

• Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively convey complex IAM concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with IT teams, security teams, and other stakeholders to integrate IAM solutions into business processes and technology initiatives.

• Training and Awareness: Experience in developing and delivering IAM training programs to enhance awareness and promote best practices among employees.

• Able to demonstrate complex problem solving, critical thinking, and decision-making.

• Able to create and conduct formal presentations.

• Able to negotiate skillfully and promote/sell ideas persuasively.

• Able to interact effectively with high levels of management (managers & above.)

• Possesses strong leadership skills with a willingness to lead, create new ideas, and be assertive.

Working Conditions:

• Moderate Travel Required (20%).

• Remote / Work-from-home eligible.
