Responsibilities

The SR Data Engineer role is crucial for driving technical excellence and innovation within our organization. With a focus on Spark in Scala Databricks and Python the candidate will enhance data processing capabilities. This position requires expertise in Property & Casualty Insurance ensuring solutions align with industry standards. The hybrid work model offers flexibility while the day shift ensures work-life balance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement scalable data solutions using Spark in Scala to optimize processing efficiency and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Databricks Unity Catalog Admin for seamless data governance and security.
• Utilize Databricks CLI to automate workflows enhancing productivity and reducing manual intervention.
• Design and manage Delta Live Pipelines to ensure real-time data processing and analytics.
• Implement Structured Streaming to facilitate continuous data flow and real-time insights.
• Apply risk management strategies to identify and mitigate potential data-related risks.
• Leverage Apache Airflow for orchestrating complex data workflows ensuring timely execution and monitoring.
• Integrate Amazon S3 and Amazon Redshift for robust data storage and retrieval solutions.
• Utilize Python for scripting and automation enhancing data processing capabilities.
• Develop Databricks SQL queries for efficient data analysis and reporting.
• Manage Databricks Delta Lake to ensure data integrity and consistency across platforms.
• Coordinate Databricks Workflows to streamline data operations and improve efficiency.
• Utilize PySpark for advanced data manipulation and transformation tasks.

Qualifications

• Possess a strong background in Spark in Scala demonstrating proficiency in data processing and analytics.
• Have extensive experience with Databricks Unity Catalog Admin ensuring effective data governance.
• Show expertise in Delta Sharing and Databricks CLI for seamless data integration and automation.
• Demonstrate knowledge in Delta Live Pipelines and Structured Streaming for real-time data processing.
• Hold experience in risk management within the Property & Casualty Insurance domain.
• Exhibit proficiency in Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration and management.
• Have a solid understanding of Amazon S3 and Amazon Redshift for data storage solutions.
• Show advanced skills in Python for scripting and automation tasks.
• Possess experience in Databricks SQL for data analysis and reporting.
• Demonstrate knowledge in Databricks Delta Lake for data integrity and consistency.
• Have experience in managing Databricks Workflows for efficient data operations.
• Show proficiency in PySpark for data manipulation and transformation tasks.
