JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS The Penn State College of Medicine, Department of Surgery, Division of Applied Biomedical Engineering is seeking a 2 part-time Research Specialist. A successful candidate will have a demonstrated interest in biomedical engineering and laboratory research. They will be responsible for performing a variety of job duties, including: assisting in wet bench laboratory research procedures; working with biological fluids and bacteria; working with Comparative Medicine department to treat samples from animal experiments; utilizing engineering software, and collecting, entering, and analyzing data along with testing the integrity of the data. This is a part-time position working 40 hours a week on campus during the summer. Recent college students are encouraged to apply.
