Brief Description: The Breakout Unit Operator DHT is responsible for assembling, maintaining, and repairing Downhole Tool products in coordination with DHT management and the shop coordinator. This position ensures that the breakout unit, associated tooling, and equipment are properly maintained and fully operational, while upholding company standards for quality, safety, and efficiency. The Breakout Unit Operator DHT reports directly to the DHT management team. Detailed Description:
- Assemble downhole tools individually or with the assistance of a shop technician according to established procedures.
- Accurately document all assembly and repair activities in accordance with QMS (Quality Management System) requirements.
- Operate breakout units, lifting devices, and material handling machinery in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform periodic testing of breakout equipment and machinery to verify proper operation.
- Inspect equipment output and identify any operational defects or mechanical issues.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external vendors to ensure timely completion and transport of products.
- Continuously monitor the condition of the breakout unit and related equipment.
- Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs to ensure optimal performance of the breakout unit.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
- Follow all company safety and quality protocols to ensure a safe workplace.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to assemble and troubleshoot mechanical equipment.
- Proficient in operating breakout and material handling equipment.
- Familiarity with shop tools and maintenance procedures.
- Effective communication skills and strong teamwork orientation.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to pass a forklift operator certification test.
- Flexible with overtime and shift requirements as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must have a state-issued driver's license and be eligible to drive a Company vehicle, including ability to meet requirements of Company's Vehicle Use Agreement and Driving Policy.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of machine shop safety standards and best practices.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and shop experience.
Additional Details: The Breakout Unit Operator DHT must work with an emphasis on safety for themselves and others including coworkers and third parties. The typical work environment will be in the shop or field which will require exposure to outdoor weather conditions, loud noise, working near moving mechanical parts, electrical energy, construction equipment, vibration, fumes, chemicals, and airborne particles.
