Position Title: Weld Quality Inspector
Wage: $54,080/year Shift: 2nd Hours: 4:30pm-3am Monday-Thursday Direct hire opportunity! We are looking for a 2nd shift Quality Weld Inspector for a large company in Liberty, MO! No Inspection certification is necessary. You'll work a 4-day work week (Monday-Thursday), collaborate with a great group of welders, and get a chance to really make a difference! This company is looking to bring someone in who has a great welding background and isn't afraid to speak up when they see something incorrect. If that's you - apply today! Weld Quality Inspector Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding procedures to understand project requirements and specifications - Repair broken-down or damaged equipment either in the field - Assess hardware and installation functionality and prepare reports about maintenance and repair work that they have performed - Handle customer relations in a professional and friendly manner - Explain repair issues in a way that's accessible to a nontechnical audience - Conduct inspections of welds to identify defects, ensuring adherence to quality standards and giving feedback through coaching and training, as needed - Perform detailed inspections of raw materials, final products, and confirm they are manufactured to standard - Track, record, and maintain quality assurance data - Follow product through the entirety of the manufacturing process to ensure each step is completed as intended - Perform other duties as required - Drive the maintenance of a safe and organized work environment, following all safety guidelines and procedures - Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to address welding-related issues and provide technical insights for continuous improvement - Comply with all company policies, procedures, and regulations, promoting a culture of safety and quality - Travel to Watertown, SD as needed; total travel less than 10% Weld Quality Inspector Requirements: - Basic welding experience - Attention to detail QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the Midwest.
