Overview
As the Pursuit (Proposal) Specialist, you'll be at the forefront of shaping high-impact proposals, partnering with Project Managers and Business Development Managers to craft competitive, winning bids. From drafting and editing to assembling and submitting proposals, you'll lead the charge in showcasing ENERCON's capabilities. Working closely with the Pursuits Leader and discipline managers, you'll assemble a top-tier proposal team, kick off the process, and set up everything from proposal files to custom templates. You'll seamlessly integrate marketing data, resumes, project summaries, and more to create a compelling case for ENERCON. Your role will be critical in analyzing the RFP or RFQ, ensuring ENERCON responds thoroughly and strategically. With your expertise, you'll drive on-time proposal submissions and keep the team on track with clear deadlines and organized schedules, all while ensuring ENERCON stands out as the top choice for clients. The Pursuit Specialist may also support preparation and review of other technical and/or commercial reports and documents, as well as coordinate with a Technical Writer to ensure proper scope, schedule, etc. This position can be based:

Responsibilities
Imagine a day where you lead a team to craft a winning proposal, shaping every detail from RFP analysis to final edits. You blend creativity and strategy, creating compelling content and visuals that speak directly to the client's needs. With each supporting document, collaboration, and refinement, you know your work is driving success and making a real impact.
- Proposal Coordination: Serve as pursuit specialist to ensure input to the proposal is received from all individuals assigned to the proposal team in a timely manner. Work with Business Development Manager to ensure client needs are being met and win strategy is implemented throughout the proposal process
- Proposal Development & Compliance: Analyze Request for Proposal (RFP) requirements and work closely with the project manager, when assigned, and pursuit team during proposal development to ensure content is complete, relevant, compelling, persuasive, and compliant. Develop proposals using ENERCON templates and/or customer-provided templates
- Content Creation & Editing: Utilize images, tabular data, graphical data, flowcharts, diagrams, and other graphics effectively to support a winning proposal. Proofread and edit documents for style, consistency, grammar, and syntax. Synthesize text and ideas from multiple authors to ensure one voice throughout proposal. Ensure complex technical solutions and strategies provided by the proposal team are easily understandable, readable, consistent, and compelling
- Supporting Documentation & Reporting: Create and/or edit supporting documents required for proposals including compliance matrices, capability statements, past performance references, personnel bios and resumes, and other documents required by the customer. Support maintenance of proposal database and win/loss data analysis reports. Support preparation and review of technical and/or commercial reports and documents
- Sales & Marketing Support: Provide assistance in SalesForce opportunity management.
Support the Pursuits Leader to develop standard SOQ's and support presentation material development. Work with Marketing to develop and update marketing collateral, brochures, etc.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in English, Communication, Journalism, Marketing, Engineering or Business
- Typically requires 3 years of experience in a consulting/engineering environment
- Experience writing proposals or handling RFPs
- Demonstrated writing and editing skills appropriate for competitive-bid proposals
- Excellent writing skills including understanding of grammatical rules, punctuation, sentence structure, and active/passive voice
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Power Point and Adobe or BlueBeam
- Excellent written and communication skills with strong ability to flex/adjust styles to audience
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, demanding work environment
- Strong teamwork skills, including interaction with end-users and operations personnel
- Strong organizational skills
