Description The Certified Medical Assistant for Cardiology performs basic technical, administrative and clerical services for a licensed physician, surgeon or a licensed podiatrist. Performs non-invasive routine support services under the supervision of a licensed physician in an office or clinic setting. Administers medication by intra-dermal, subcutaneous, or intramuscular injections or Administers medication orally, sublingually, vaginally or rectally, or by providing a single dose to a patient for immediate self-administration. Administers as ordered by the Provider according to the six (6) rights: patient, medication, dose, time, route and documentation and according to established standards, policies and procedures. NOTE: In every instance, prior to administration of medication by the Medical Assistant, a licensed physician or another person authorized by law to do so must verify the correct medication and dosage. 3.2 3.3 Performs electrocardiograms. Screens, triages, and documents all calls from patients according to appropriate policy and procedure. If there is any concern regarding a patient's condition, immediate notification of the physician or NP must be made. 3.4 Performs venipuncture for purposes of withdrawing blood upon specific authorization and under the supervision of a licensed physician if so certified. 3.5 Collects and records patient data including height, weight, temperature, pulse, respiration rate, blood pressure, and basic information about the presenting and previous conditions according to approved policy and procedure and as needed. 3.6 3.7 Documents all medication administered according to approved policy and procedure Skills medical record, medical terminology, medical assisting, Emr Top Skills Details medical record,medical terminology,medical assisting Additional Skills & Qualifications 1+ Years Medical Assistant Experience Customer Service experience Phone etiquette EMR Experience Experience Level Intermediate Level Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
