Custodian

Job Purpose:

Maintains work areas of offices and industrial buildings to keep them clean and orderly. Uses janitorial supplies, maintains restroom areas and removes waste material. Performs special cleaning projects as assigned.

Nature of Duties:

• Clean employee lunch room and empty trash containers in the break room.
• Cleans restrooms in the plant and offices.
• Empty trash from trash hoppers.
• Report anything unusual that is being discarded or thrown away.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Training:

In addition to the Universal Turtle Lake training requirements, this position also requires product specific training.

Physical Requirements:

Maintains work areas of offices and industrial buildings to keep them clean and orderly. Uses janitorial supplies, maintains restroom areas and removes waste material. Performs special cleaning projects as assigned. It is estimated that this position will require the employee to be on their feet 100% of the shift. Some twisting, bending and stooping is necessary.

Working Environment:

Occasional fumes from cleaning solvents or floor mopping detergents

Tool and Equipment Requirements:

Commercial Floor Broom and Mop, Mop bucket on wheels, vacuum cleaner and floor buffer.
