Job Description

FIS Management Services, LLC seeks Software Engineer Seniors in Jacksonville, FL to be responsible for leveraging specialized knowledge of FIS technologies to analyze, design, program, debug and modify software enhancements and new products used in local, networked or Internet-related computer programs. (Code must be used in core version of applications available for sale commercially.) Utilize advanced knowledge of proprietary tools to interact with product managers and users to define system requirements and necessary modifications. Apply expertise with FIS technology to participate in software design meetings and analyze user needs to determine technical requirements. Leverage unique knowledge of proprietary methodologies to write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements. Apply unique expertise of FIS tools to write code, complete programming and perform testing and debugging of applications using current programming languages and technologies. Complete documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance. Leverage specialized knowledge of FIS methodologies to train and communicate with internal Client Training, Client Relationship and Sales teams on systems application. Apply unique expertise with FIS methodologies to develop or execute project plans, budgets and schedules and for documenting work and results. Deliver informational and decision-seeking presentations to technical and business groups to internal or external audiences.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related occupation: experience with: developing and maintaining Investment/Fund accounting applications; working with programming languages and technologies including Java, Cobol, VSAM, JavaScript, Angular, CSS and SQL; overseeing evolution of technology by participating in the technology roadmap review; collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and develop new features; troubleshooting and debugging applications to optimize performance; participating in design and code reviews, and ensure that the team adheres to the coding best practices; staying up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating and implementing new tools and techniques to improve product quality; and working with Scaled Agile framework (SAFe) and its application in software development.
