Overview: Loureiro Engineering Associates is seeking an Industrial Senior Technician to support our Mechanical and Industrial Wastewater Services team in Plainville, Connecticut. This hands-on role is ideal for a mechanically inclined professional with strong technical and troubleshooting skills who thrives in dynamic field environments. You’ll support a range of projects involving piping installations and operations/maintenance (O&M) activities, gaining exposure to diverse service areas and industrial systems.

The primary role of the senior technician will be to support and conduct field installations involving industrial projects and systems, and with a focus on plumbing installs and operations/maintenance (O&M) activities. The senior technician will be tasked with plumbing installations and various O&M tasks in industrial manufacturing settings; by conducting the work themselves or as part of a crew of up to 4 technicians completing the tasks with them. A typical job may include installing plastic, copper, or steel pipe/tubing; or installation, disassembly, inspection, cleaning and/or reassembly of industrial pumps or mixers.

This position will require hands-on work with field installations for complex systems and components. Manual dexterity, good technical skills, hands on ability, project understanding, and mechanical aptitude are of the upmost importance for success in this role and will be required to fill this position. The ability to read instructions represented in work plans, manuals, drawings, schematics etc. is necessary for this position. With the diverse projects and environments, training and good safety practices will be of the upmost importance while performing all field activities, and adherence to company and client regulation is a mandatory part of the position.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute and delegate assigned tasks and work plans with technical accuracy and timeliness.
  • Install piping in industrial and manufacturing settings.

What You Bring


  • High school diploma, technical school certification, or equivalent experience.
  • Fundamental skills using hand and power tools (e.g., cordless tools, bandsaws, drills) for cutting, tapping, and assembly.
  • Ability to drill/tap straight holes and perform concrete hammer drilling.
  • Experience reading and working from technical prints, drawings, and schematics.
  • Physical strength and stamina to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform installation/maintenance work in various environments.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • U.S. person status (citizen or permanent resident); must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.



Nice to Have

  • Training or certification in Lockout Tagout, OSHA 10, OSHA 30, or plumbing licensure.
  • Experience with remediation systems such as groundwater/wastewater treatment and soil vapor extraction systems.
  • Proficiency in welding.
  • Familiarity with using diagnostic and precision measurement tools for mechanical troubleshooting.



Physical Requirements 

  • Prolonged periods of sitting, walking, hiking, and standing. 
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. at a time. 
  • Mobility control of hands to set up equipment and operate tools. 
  • Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and terrains. 
  • Adherence to safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment.
