What You Will Do:

GFT is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Resiliency Coordinator to join our team. In this role, Successful candidates will have strong critical thinking skills, superior communication skills and the desire to expand and learn in areas that include climate resiliency, vulnerability assessment, disaster risk mitigation, emergency preparedness and response, asset management and social impact.

What you'll be challenged to do:

You'll contribute to resiliency and sustainability initiatives by supporting the organization, tracking, and delivery of efforts across multiple business lines. Your work will include performing risk and resilience assessments, analyzing data, preparing technical communications and reports, and supporting the development of training materials and external communications. You'll collaborate across teams to implement solutions related to climate resiliency, emergency preparedness, and social impact, while also exploring innovative approaches such as artificial intelligence in the resiliency space.

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Support the organization and tracking of resiliency efforts across the various business lines within the entire firm.
  • Support the coordination and delivery of resiliency assessment efforts.
  • Coordinate and participate in field investigations as needed to conduct risk and resilience assessments.
  • Coordinate efforts from various groups within the firm to deliver resiliency solutions.
  • Develop resiliency communication strategy/curriculum to train staff and clients.
  • Support external communications efforts such as industry conferences, presentations, and project deliverables.
  • Support distribution of resiliency practice resources to internal and external partners.
  • Support social media strategy and implementation for resiliency and sustainability visibility.
  • Perform technical communications review of project deliverables, marketing, and business development products to achieve consistent messaging and technical correctness.
  • Support research and explore artificial intelligence application potentials in the implementation of resiliency work.
  • Perform data analysis and technical reports related to risk and resilience efforts.
Education | Experience:

What you will bring to our firm:

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant fields such as Environmental Studies, Communications, Civil Engineering, Planning and Business
  • One year of work or intern experience (can be cumulative)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products, especially Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Interest and knowledge in the use of Artificial Intelligence tools for communications and data gathering.
  • Strong people and collaboration skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, graphics communications/presentation skills.

  • Experience in developing communications products that explains complex and nuanced issues effectively.
  • Experience in developing communications products to a wide range of audiences
  • Knowledge of business/corporate/enterprise drivers in sustainability and resiliency issues

  • Knowledge, interest, and experience with social media communication strategy
Compensation:
The range for this position is salary range is $64,000 - $92,000 per year. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
