Position: Network Systems Co-Op Number of Position(s): 1 Duration: 4 Months Date: September 2 - December 19, 2025 Location: On-site, Murray Hill, USA Education Recommendations Currently a candidate for a PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Data Science, or a related field with an accredited school in the US. The Network Systems Co-Op program at Bell Labs covers technologies relating to 5G-Advanced/6G network systems, autonomous systems, and end-to-end network orchestration and automation. As part of our team, you will work on research topics covering: Intelligent end-to-end network slice management Conflict detection and mitigation algorithm design/development Next-generation Open RAN (O-RAN) conflict management Practical applied AI/ML for network automation Excellent programming skills for prototyping Prior research experience with network systems and/or ML theory Strong written and spoken communication/presentation skills It would be nice if you also had: A strong publication record Ability to identify upcoming research trends and directions with a focus on maximizing impact Come create the technology that helps the world act together Nokia is committed to innovation and technology leadership across mobile, fixed and cloud networks.
