Position Schedule: 2nd Shift 3:30PM-12:00AM What You'll Do
- Reads work order, blueprints, and specifications to determine operation requirements
- Operate CNC, and hand spin lathe to meet desired specifications.
- Able to understand and execute Process Control Sheets (PCS)
- Determine the necessary spin tools such as chucks, rollers and trimming tools necessary for the production of spun parts.
- Measures and marks cutting and trimming lines on part, using measuring instruments, scriber, or marking pen.
- Installs and aligns machine accessories, such as rollers, tailstock, and headstock
- Cuts and trims parts by, controlling movement of part secured in fixture or on work positioner, or entering commands to retrieve and start preprogrammed cutting or trimming instructions to part.
- Measures dimensions of finished part, using measuring instruments, such as micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators, or check fixture.
- Operates and controls torch/heat input to part to achieve desired material temp.
- May trim, sand, and drill parts, using shop equipment
- Operate Robotic cells as required
- Work in FanDuct Flow Line as required
- Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.
- Trains others by openly sharing information, knowledge and expertise with the team
- May be trained in Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost (SQDC)
- Comply with all company rules including company safety policy and all federal, state, local, and other safety regulations and practices. As outlined in Spincraft Safety Manual
- Use personal protective equipment and devices provided for machinery, equipment, tools and processes, when defined in PCS, Company Safety Policy, Job Safety Analysis or Management direction
- Report all accidents and injuries immediately to your supervisor.
- Report all unsafe conditions to their supervisors
- Actively participates in 6S and lean activities as outlined by the Company
- Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following Company instructions;
- Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Tools, equipment and gauges are stored and maintained as defined by company standards
- Keeps work area clean and organized to company standards/expectations
- Daily cleaning and sweeping of work area, tools and equipment
- Empty of trash and waste as needed
- Personal items removed from work stations
What You'll Bring
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Minimum 2 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Forklift experience
Capable of following directions
Can complete tasks on his or her own
