Genesis10 is currently seeking a Release Manager with our client in the financial industry located in Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract position.

Responsibilities:


  • Manage the impact of technology changes on various aspects of the business, including processes, systems, and organizational structures
  • Ensure a smooth transition during and after technology implementations, minimize disruption, and maximize benefits for the organization
  • Play a key role in ensuring compliance with regulations and managing risk associated with change initiatives
  • Develop and deliver effective and consistent communication plans to keep employees informed and engaged throughout the change process
  • Identify and address potential resistance to change, provide support and guidance to help employees overcome challenges
  • Provide ongoing support to users during and after the change, address questions and issues to ensure successful adoption
  • Document change processes, gather data on adoption, and prepare reports on progress and outcomes
  • Run a weekly release call, attended by Dev, QA and Delivery Management to gather all pertinent information to create a CRQ
  • Review EPICs (resides within JIRA and contains the Design Details, Acceptance Criteria and Release Notes for a body of work) to ensure it represents a logical summation of the work being released
  • Work with Dev to fix/edit fails
  • Obtain Dev Lead approval known as OTA for all components prior to release
  • After release, responsible for closing CRQs/JIRAs and Release Containers as well as upload supporting docs for audit
  • Follow up on any post release issues, this includes creation and tracking of PIRs (Post Implementation Review) and PKEs (Problem Known Error)
  • Off Cycle Release - unscheduled releases that follow the above steps
  • Attend bi-weekly MRT office hours to stay abreast of latest changes to the release process
  • Be available to process Latent and/or Emergency releases
  • Collaborate; build relationships across workgroups to deliver consistent quality results
  • Support project teams to manage the implementation of changes, ensure they stay on track and meet deadlines
  • Identify upstream and downstream impacts associated with project related changes and/or decisions



Requirements:

  • Business acumen
  • Understanding of the financial services industry and the impact of technology on business operations
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, presentation to senior leaders
  • Highly organized with strong project/time management skills
  • Ability to balance priorities and to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to think critically and offer solutions when roadblocks arise
  • Familiarity with release management methodologies, such as Agile, Horizon (JIRA) or similar frameworks
  • Ability to build relationships, coach, and mentor others is crucial for supporting employees through change
  • Understanding of various technologies used in financial services, such as cloud computing, data analytics, and application development



Pay Range: $57.70-$65.70

Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
