Warehouse Specialist
Purpose:
- Valkyrie Enterprises is looking for a Warehouse Specialist to provide inventory control and storage management of all material in the Camarillo facility in California.
Job Description:
- Duties will include managing material, including piecing parts, organizing modules and tools.
- Organizes material that can include bench stock (screws, nuts, washers, etc.), hazardous materials and pilferable items.
- Required actions include, but are not limited to, maintaining an accurate inventory of all GFM, maintaining an accurate location of all material and tools, and conducting a quarterly inventory of all items with an individual cost of $500.00 or more. This quarterly inventory will be reported to corporate IAW QP_8.5.4 Preservation of Product.
Manages material received from procurement and will be inventoried and added to the warehouse material and entered in the Inventory Management System.
All material received from the Government will be inventoried and signed for on a DD 1149 REQUISITION AND INVOICE/SHIPPING DOCUMENT and filed.
All material shipped with be IAW WI 8.1-42, Division 2 Shipping and Inventories.
All GFM will be shipped with a DD 1149 REQUISITION AND INVOICE/SHIPPING DOCUMENT attached and properly signed and filed.
The warehouse specialist will initiate procurement actions for all material required to satisfy customer requirements and all office supplies. The funding for these procurements will be provided by management.
The warehouse specialist will report to the Project Manager.
The warehouse specialist will require a high school or equivalent education. Operational knowledge of the Microsoft suite of tools is required.
The warehouse specialist will be required to lift and carry material up to 75 pounds.
The warehouse specialist will be required to operate an electric forklift.
Qualifications
- Must have a High School diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of warehouse experience.
- Must have an understanding of large-scale organization systems and inventory control systems.
- Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, such as Word and Excel.
- Must have the ability to operate a variety of tools and equipment such as forklifts and handcarts.
- Must have knowledge of OSHA safety guidelines and practices.
- Must have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Security Requirements
- Must have the eligibility to obtain and maintain DoD Secret security clearance.
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain access to private and public shipyards and Naval installations.
Travel Requirements
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift as much as 100 pounds and carry 50 pounds.
- Must be able to spend hours, stooping, kneeling, crawling, walking and standing.
- Will require working outdoors in inclement weather and in confined areas.

Pay Range: $21 - $26 per hour
