Seeking qualified candidates to support the 780th Test Squadron on the TMAS contract at Eglin AFB in Florida! The 780th Test Squadron is the Air Force's developmental test agency for air-to-air, air-to-ground and direct fire munitions. The individual should have a working knowledge of USAF and/or USN fighter/bomber tactics and employment. Prior experience in developmental or operational testing is highly desired. Aircrew experience is highly desired. This individual will serve as a subject matter expert for system performance requirements, the development of test objectives and methodology, detailed test procedures, and data requirements. Responsibilities also include identifying instrumentation and test support equipment requirements, developing data collection and reduction processes, coordinating with test support agencies and ranges, and performing other tasks as assigned by the Test Director to support the 96th Test Wing (96 TW) test execution plan for the assigned test program. The Lead Test Engineer will be expected to independently identify, track, and resolve issues while overseeing the work of less senior personnel. Essential Job Functions: Be responsible for the development, preparation, and review of various test documentation, including data plans, methods of test, flight cards, and analysis reports. Forecast test assets and range requirements, and serve as Point Of Contact for test development. Integrate with program offices and prime contractors on test requirements. Act as test director or test conductor during mission execution. Brief and debrief executing aircrew on mission requirements. Coordinate logistical efforts related to test equipment. Required Skills: Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required. A Bachelor's Degree plus 12 years of experience or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering plus 10 years of experience, including at least 6 years of Test & Evaluation (T&E) experience. Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance. Must be Special Access Program eligible Familiarity with instrumentation, range, aircraft, aircrew, data and safety constraints associated with developmental test. Experience with aircraft and weapons integration and developmental testing in a highly classified environment. Experience or familiarity with instrumentation, range, aircraft, aircrew, data, infrastructure, and safety constraints associated with developmental flight test. MRTFB testing at locations such as Eglin AFB, Nellis AFB, Edwards AFB, China Lake NAS, Point Mugu NAS, White Sands Missile Range, and others. Desired Qualifications: Master's degree in Physics from an ABET-accredited engineering program. Familiarity with government and prime contractor interactions during the acquisition and testing of aircraft and weapons. Familiarity with the 96 TW test process. Test Pilot School Graduate. |
